Layla Chatoor’s Latest Collection PFDC L’Oréal Paris Day 3
Layla Chatoor marked her bridal debut ramp showcase at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 day 3 with her collection, ‘The Queens Jewels’ – celebrating the bride as a queen on her special day. The inspiration behind the designs was the intricately worked filigree as seen in the Queens tiaras with scroll motifs set against the brilliance of diamonds reflected through the cut-work collection. The necklaces encrusted with emeralds, rubies and sapphires was depicted in the gemstone collection, and the artisanal brooches set in mother of pearls on a bed of pure white and silver brought about the mother of pearl collection. All this placed on a bed of warm apricots, rust, maroons, rich pinks, exotic golds and icy turquoisesmixed with plums and aubergines gave the collection a timelessly elegant yet modern looking aesthetic.
