Leather Women Winter Collection 2013
Leather Women season of 2012, designers sent lots of leather down the runways. Leather is no longer just for shoes and purses but can be used for pretty much any garment ranging from pants to jackets, shorts and even dresses. The most common color is black but brown was a close second. There were even some bright and pretty unusual colors such as blood red or teal that graced the runways. Leather Women jackets are pretty much a dead giveaway and they have never really been gone from the fashion scene.
One of the first people to make leather jackets covetable was probably Marlon Brando during the fifties, shortly followed by Elvis and the characters from the movie Grease. You could sport a so called Leather Women jacket and exude a rock ‘n roll vibe, but nowadays there are many different styles of leather jackets. There’s the relentlessly popular asymmetric jacket of Rick Owens with its big fold-over collar but lots of brands now have jackets sporting leather sleeve.
